Justin Ravitz has been named Editorial Director for HELLO! U.S.. In this newly-created role, he will establish and expand the digital American presence, reach, and identity for HELLO!, one of the United Kingdom's most popular and successful celebrity and lifestyle brands. Ravitz will be working with colleagues in New York, London, Los Angeles and elsewhere around the globe on editorial strategy and standards, news coverage, brand exclusives, plus new video, audio and social media initiatives. Ravitz previously served as Executive Editor, Digital at Us Weekly, Executive Editor, Digital for Rolling Stone and Deputy Editor at Refinery29, with clips in New York, Out, Town and Country, Time Out New York, Daily Beast, The Advocate and elsewhere. Most recently, he has served as VP, Editorial Director at Pardon Ventures, a startup and digital publisher of general interest newsletters, where he oversaw and helped launch 10-plus brands with over 10 million subscribers.
HELLO! magazine launched in 1988, and is part of the HOLA group, the publisher behind ¡HOLA! magazine, a Spanish-language celebrity-lifestyle brand founded in Barcelona in 1944 by the husband and wife team of Antonio Sánchez Gómez and Mercedes Junco Calderón. With a presence on six continents, this independent, family-owned media company boasts a combined global reach of 70 million unique visitors monthly, 28 million social media followers, and 15 million weekly print readers. Ravitz will report to Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon, HELLO!'s Head of Digital, and starts work in the NYC offices the week of January 17.
