The Radio Times Podcast Celebrates 1 Million Downloads
Published: 11 Apr 2023
The Radio Times podcast is celebrating receiving 1 million downloads since it launched in late 2021.
Now it’s third series, The Radio Times podcast, hosted by Radio Times’ Kelly-Ann Taylor, brings listeners weekly interviews with television’s biggest names, discovering their TV viewing habits and delving into their careers. Previous guests include Stephen Fry, Miriam Margolyes, KSI, Letitia Wright, Daniel Radcliffe, Helen Fielding, Kit Connor, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Parminder Nagra and James Nesbit.
In addition, Radio Times also produces a weekly companion podcast, Smart TV, giving bite-size expert guidance to the best TV and streaming recommendations for the coming week.
Zoe Helme, Publishing Director Radio Times, says: “Achieving one million downloads in 18 months is a fantastic achievement. With the explosion of streaming platforms, the choice of programmes is richer than it’s ever been before, so launching a podcast to hear from the biggest stars from the world of entertainment and offering the best guidance made perfect sense. The success of our award-winning podcast has enabled Radio Times to connect with a new generation of fans, expanding our brand's footprint beyond traditional print, digital, and live events and into the audio realm. We're eager to see where this journey takes us next!”
The Radio Times podcast is available every Tuesday and Smart TV lands every Friday on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and Acast.
